Outdoor Mosaic Design @ Nude Tin Can Art Gallery 11th Oct

Come join me Audrey (mosaicist) at Nude Tin Can Contemporary Art Gallery in Fleetvile, St Albans for a relaxing 3 hours of creativity.

During this mosaic workshop you will design and create a mosaic suitable for outdoors. You will learn each step of the mosaic making process and all materials will be provided.

I like to run my workshops in a way that people aren't restricted to just one design, I prefer that students come and create a design that is personal to them. In delivering my workshops in this way it means that the thinking and planning is done before you attend your workshop. I ask all students to think about what they would like to create beforehand. Research some designs and have an idea before we meet on the workshop day. I am always available to discuss your design via email or on the phone and will support you in gaining the template you would like. In doing this it means that you will have optimum time on the workshop day to get going with your chosen design. You'll be amazed by how quickly 3 hours fly by when creating a mosaic!

The dimensions of the bases for a 3 hour workshop are as follows:

20cm x 20cm - square
25cm x 15cm - rectangle
20cm - circle

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those who have experience in mosaic making. The workshop is for adults but also open to children who are keen to attend with a participating adult and who will be happy to participate for the duration (guide age 9 years+).

During the workshop you will be guided in using wheeled tile nippers to snip your glass.
