National Trust Counts Down to Christmas with E-Advent Calendar

Christmas is an important time for the National Trust and this year the South West region is helping people discover, and rediscover, seasonal traditions with the help of an online Advent calendar.

Behind each window of Montacute house there’s information on what’s going on at particular places across the region during the season, downloads for activities which families can complete together and videos, both informative and fun. There's also a prize draw each day giving participants the chance to win festive prizes.

One family tradition that is well worth keeping alive is the sing-along. The video below features staff and volunteers from seven different places singing ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ around the National Trust’s pianos. Day 4 contains a sheet music download so people can play along and visitors are encouraged to have their own sing-alongs around our pianos.
