Cutting your own mounts lets you use readymade standard size frames or recycle old ones.

I run workshops in mount cutting (using a simple handheld mount cutter) which include lots of information on good presentation. The introductory workshops covers cutting a single, accurate window mount. More advanced workshops (double mounts, box mounting, multi-apertures, textiles) are listed on my website.

I also give a two hour demonstrations on how a mount and frame can seriously improve (or wreck) a painting/photograph/textile/ calligraphy, in fact anything that can go in a frame.

Bookable workshops run at various places in Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey as well as from my studio in Chichester. I also gives individual tuition in mount cutting.
