Voices from the Voluntary Sector
As Broxbourne has changed dramatically over the last 50 years, there were stories to be told in Broxbourne around the history of the community and charity sector. The aim of this project was to research this history and produce moveable displays/oral histories to celebrate the lives and contributions made to the community by ordinary people. As part of this project, we have interviewed local residents to record how they supported communities within the Borough of Broxbourne over the last 50 years.
The exhibition will include Soundbites and Oral Histories, Visual records and Research findings and will be on display at Lowewood Museum in Hoddesdon from Friday 11 March to Saturday 9 April.
The exhibition was produced by the CVS for Broxbourne and East Herts with input from students at Hertford Regional College and was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
