Journey Through Life - Windrush 75 exhibition (Lowewood Museum)
From Friday 23 June to Saturday 16 September, Lowewood Museum in Hoddesdon will exhibit Journey Through Life: a community curated exhibition embracing the highs and lows that impacted and defined the Windrush generation. Blending the national Windrush story with the lived experiences of Broxbourne residents, the exhibition will feature a variety of objects, photographs, and documents that tell the stories of some of the Windrush generation, residing in Broxbourne . Visitors will learn about the reasons why people from the Caribbean came to the UK, their experiences of life in the UK, and their contributions to British society.
Lowewood Museum is open on Friday and Saturday, 10am to 4:30pm. The exhibition is on the ground floor and is free to attend.
The exhibition is funded by the Windrush Day Grant and the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is delivered in partnership by the Lowewood Museum Trust, Broxbourne Borough Council, the Society of Caribbean and Africans (Broxbourne) and Unity Carnival Arts.
