Mark Fice Exhibition

Mark was born in the South West and has settled in Ivybridge after living the city life in London. Mark is a Chef by trade but has always had an underlining passion for art in all forms. Mark comes from a creative family which has heavily inspired him as a child, he was constantly sketching, painting and experimenting with new techniques using anything to hand including pencil, charcoal and even a biro.

Mark first experimented with acrylics and canvas painting about seven years ago just with basic colours in an abstract form, and soon progressed technically on his methods. This caught the eye of a Plymouth based soliciting firm for which he was commissioned to paint 26 pieces for their newly refurbished offices.

Mark says it is hard to say who inspires his paintings from a professional point of view, but his family has played a major part in building his love for painting. His recent work has been inspired by his life experiences and the contrasts between growing up by the coast and living in the high-rise of london as a young professional.
