Sweeney Todd - in Concert

The Letchworth Arcadians present Sweeney Todd a Musical Thriller, in Concert at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage.

A musical comedy thriller set in London. Sweeney Todd, “The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” is not an out-and-out villain and this musical tale is told with understanding and humour.

Caught up in Sweeney’s story are the comic but unscrupulous Mrs. Lovett, who disposes of the bodies of his victims in order to produce “The Best Pies in London”; the villainous Judge and his side-kick the Beadle; the beautiful and innocent Johanna; her heroic and handsome rescuer Anthony; the blackmailing Pirelli; the mysterious beggar woman and the young, trusting young Tobias.

Presented in Concert with full 20 piece orchestra and original Broadway orchestrations.
