YOUNG SINGER-SONGWRITER WORKSHOPS

Mon 6, 13, 20 & Thu 30 Aug, 1 - 3pm, £40 for 4 workshops, 13 - 16 yrs old

Are you a young songwriter wanting to develop your songs in an imaginative, creative way? Do you want to gain more confidence to perform your songs by yourself and with others? Do you struggle to read music but have so many songs bursting to get out? Then this workshop is for you.

Come and join South West based songwriters, Laura Dugmore & Stuart Oliver, exploring the varied approaches to writing and performing your own individual songs using different processes plus work on your performance techniques singing other peoples songs. Activities include making mood boards, playing and singing well known singer songwriter covers, developing performance techniques, writing and developing your own songs with storytelling and playing music together with some creative twists!

All participants are working towards showcasing in an informal, acoustic performance at the end of the 4 week workshops performing with The Laura Dugmore Band. (Young Songwriters, Duos & Bands welcome).

You do not need to read music but you must play an instrument or sing at basic level.
