South West based artist, Laura Loft exudes charisma as she plays her endearing folk influenced songs with a wistful and nostalgic charm.

Having released 3 EPs with her past group The Laura Dugmore Band (J'aime La Vie (2010); Cardigans & Woollen Things (2011) & Laura Loft Band Live at Birley Centre(2012)) she took off to foreign lands to renew her inspiration for a new chapter. One that crawled through jungles, crept through hot springs and hiked up coffee plantations to inspire a collection of acoustic songs called ‘We Were Made: songs on the road’ (2014), a self recorded d.i.y digital album.

On return to the UK she decided to do the grown up thing, totally ignoring her younger selves lyrics in Bricks and Mortar song where she idealistically sings “I don’t want to think about a mortgage and I don’t want to think about having babies, na, na, na, na, no!” and did both those things….

Leading nicely onto the introduction of her new sounds on her latest release 'Hush Now EP (2017); a collection of songs written as an honest account documenting the adventures of becoming a mum. Out Feb 2017.
