An enchanting tale told through music, narration and hand-drawn illustrations. On Christmas Eve, Clara is gifted with the most beautiful toy, a nutcracker. Falling asleep with the toy in her arms, she dreams of a world of Princes, Sugar Plum Fairies and an evil King Rat.

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a screening of the Raymond Briggs classic. When James builds a snowman in the garden, little does he know an exciting adventure is about to begin.

Hear the iconic Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Waltz of the Flowers and soundtrack to The Snowman performed by the Orchestra of Opera North, plus a tender performance of ‘Walking in the Air’ sung live!
