Opera North Orchestral Academy Online February half term

This February half term Opera North are offering a series of free, online instrumental workshops for young musicians aged 10-18 and studying Grade 4+ (or equivalent).

Designed to connect young instrumentalists with professional players from the internationally renowned Orchestra of Opera North during lockdown, these workshops offer a fun way to celebrate instruments, explore techniques and develop musicality.

For players studying at a higher level, there may be an opportunity to play a piece for feedback and discussion with an orchestra member and other participants. All sessions are designed to complement regular instrumental study and offer a great chance to connect with fellow young musicians and members of the Orchestra of Opera North.

Date: 15-19 February 2021

Deadline to register: 9am Monday 8 February
Please note that places in these workshops are limited and registration may have to close earlier for certain instruments.
