Kirklees Concert Season Festive Concerts
There’s nothing quite like Christmas music to invoke the spirit of the season. From brass bands and youth choirs to animation with a full live orchestra – the Kirklees Concert Season includes something for everyone!
To start with The University of Huddersfield Brass Band will be performing their Christmas Spectacular filled with majestic fanfares and classic carols at both Huddersfield and Dewsbury Town Halls on Monday 6th and Wednesday 8th December respectively.
Then comes Opera North’s Christmas Concert which returns to Dewsbury Town Hall on Thursday 16 December, promising seasonal favourites, including Will Todd’s Jazz Carols and music by Yorkshire-born composer Angela Morley.
For the final organ concert of 2021, David Pipe, Guest Curator is accompanied by the Huddersfield Boys' and Girls' Choir for a concert of Christmas music from around the world on Monday 20 December.
Next comes something for all the family as a double bill of animations "The Snail and Whale" and "Stick Man" comes to Huddersfield Town Hall’s big screen along with a full, live orchestra on 21 December.
Finally you can see out the year with Opera North's much loved performance of the Viennese Whirl with waltzes, marches and song from the City of Music on Thursday 30 December.
