Tutored Art Experience in London
BRITISH MUSEUM, Thursday 17th July 2014
Journey through the collection in a new and unique way, sketching and documenting fascinating artefacts from far reaches of the world. Suitable for any age or ability, support and guidance on various technique will be provided by Hertfordshire artist Kimberley Bevan.
11.00am – 12.30pm: Meet in main Entrance, the group will go through to the Ancient Greece and Rome areas where students will be given a selection of exercises to complete for the morning session. (There is the option to explore other galleries should you wish please ask).
12.30 – 1.30pm - Lunch
1.30pm – 2.30pm: Meet in Living and Dying Exhibition – Observation studies.
2.45pm – 3.45pm: Germany divided, Baselitz and his generation. (From the Duerckheim Collection) Exhibition featuring over 90 extraordinary drawings and prints, this exhibition explores how six key post-war artists redefined art in Germany on both sides of the Iron Curtain. 3.45pm – 4pm Review of Artworks and finish. (If you wish to stay and continue please feel free to do so as the museum closes at 5.30pm)
GUARDIANS/PARENTS MAY BRING CHILDREN BUT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM, AS PRICE INCLUDES ENTRY AND TUTION FOR THE ABOVE (LUNCH IS NOT INCLUDED). ADULTS - £45 CHILDREN (8YRS – 16YRS) - £20.00
