Tutored Art Experiences in London

TATE DAY: Thursday 15th May 2014
A day of drawing and sketching one of Britain's most diverse art collection in the centre of London. Suitable for any ability/age as this session will be limited to a small group and have various hand outs along with support and guidance from Hertfordshire artist Kimberley Bevan.

TATE BRITAIN in the morning: Meet at Entrance at 10.45am, students will have half an hour to wander around the galleries and then choose an artist to focus their attention upon, whereby they will use the morning to construct two studies of an artwork.
12.45 meet at entrance and then either catch the (1.07pm Millbank) boat across the Thames (£6.80 cost) or walk for free to have lunch on the other side of the river.
TATE MODERN in the afternoon: Meeting at 2.00 in the Tate Modern Turbine Hall Entrance, where students will explore the art works in the Realisms Exhibition; Realism’ was itself a contested term, with different styles emerging, but also different interpretations of its significance. Because it was considered to be immediately understandable, realism came to be associated with social equality – an art made for ordinary people. 3.00pm - Students will then be free to either explore the other contemporary pieces or go into the private exhibition featured below (please note the extra costs).3.50pm – Meet in Turbine Hall where work will be reviewed with a 4.00pm finish.

GUARDIANS/PARENTS MAY BRING CHILDREN BUT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM, AS PRICE INCLUDES ENTRY AND TUTION FOR THE ABOVE SESSION (LUNCH/TRANSPORT IS NOT INCLUDED). ADULTS - £45 CHILDREN (8YRS – 16YRS) - £20.00
