My work develops from a preocupation with space and energy. The illustrations combine photography, drawing and collage, producing emotive responses to places and environments. Exploring the dynamic and spatial qualities of line and the expressive use of colour allows me to engage with the hidden narratives and histories of specific locations.

I approach each project as a unique creative challenge.  Every subject carries its own emotions, concepts, and definitions. I see my artistic practise as appropriate to a range of contexts including gallery exhibitions, publishing and, more recently, animation.
