John Brown creates contemporary sculpture based on the simplified human figure, expressing emotions and relationships. These range from small maquettes (working models) to larger pieces for the home, garden or work environment. Themes every often run through a number of completed works giving a feeling of recognizable continuity to his sculpture.

The sculptures are in stone or in limited editions in traditional foundry case materials such as bronze, or in cast resin metals such as bronze, aluminium or iron.

His public and private work is now in places throughout the world and he exhibits widely in the UK at galleries, garden exhibitions and art fairs.
