Jo Askham Arts Consultant

After more than ten years heading up the Arts Team in St Albans I now work as a freelance consultant with a particular interest in arts and health and social prescribing. My background is in community engagement and events management and I was one of the team who set up the Creative Hertfordshire website.

Currently I have a portfolio of projects including managing 'A Space To Be ...', a teenage wellbeing programme working with artists and museum collections across Hertfordshire. I work for Zippos Circus running their Community Admission Scheme distributing free tickets to families who would not otherwise be able to come to the show and I am Event Co-ordinator for the St Albans Fireworks Spectacular. I have run evaluations for St Albans Museum + Gallery including for the major Barbara Hepworth exhibition.

I am an enthusiastic but not particularly proficient ceramicist attending short courses at the University whenever I can.
