JJ's Summer Programme - Live Music Technology for 14-18yr olds
As part of JJ’s new and exciting Summer Programme, we are offering a whole day course dedicated to Live Music Technology.
Friday 7th August 10am – 4pm
JJ’s Arts Academy’s Live Music Technology course is perfect for students currently taking, or looking to take GCSE, BTEC and A Level in Music, Performance or Technical Theatre. It is a must for any musician hoping to one day play in a band, or who currently is. Learn the skills to look after your equipment whilst providing you with the best possible sound.
The day will include:
* Learn how to set up a PA
* What the cables are called and how make them last
* Setting up a band - How to listen
* Dealing with feedback and room acoustics
* What do all of the sliders and dials do?
* How to get the best sound from your instruments
* Does your choice of cable matter?
* Why do we use different systems for different instruments?
* EQ is your friend.
* Introduction to acoustic theory.
The course, led by two industry professionals, is a perfect precursor to future Arts Awards in Music Technology that will be offered by JJ's Arts Academy in the future.
