After training in painting and printmaking at Guildford School of Art, I’ve worked in many areas; textiles, ceramics, mosaics, environmental art, and, most recently, digital art - developing a wide range of materials and styles in response to the various demands of Public Art and other commissions.

The capacity of scanner/computer/printer to function as a medium for artist-printmaking gives great freedom to experiment…..the scanner's intense light-beam reveals precise detailing in flowers and other objects…..I particularly love the dreamlike quality of objects apparently suspended in darkness, emerging from infinite space….

In 3-dimensional work I fuse ceramic and glass for mosaics and sculpture, often combining these with reclaimed and found materials... I love the vibrancy of light passing through glass, and the extraordinary richness of shape and variety of textures to be found in something so ordinary as a squashed can on the road or a broken toy…. things abandoned, unvalued, lost, changed.... a metaphor perhaps for survival and re-creation...
