The Hele totem was commissioned by the Torbay young offenders team, to form a centre piece for a garden area being built next to the windmill hill skate & bmx park at Hele, Torquay. The local community 'pitched' in on the day to plant up the garden & with the help of the local youngsters the 8 metre pole went up smoothly, The faces on the pole incorperate old bike gears & the 'cross bones' on top are 2 home made skate boards & 2 bmx forks, hopefully the local young people who helped have taken ownership respecting the area a little bit more.
