SATURDAY 13TH DECEMBER 1- 4 (with singing in the foyer afterwards)

Winter time – dark nights, cold days, a time to snuggle by the fire but traditionally also a time to come together with others to celebrate light, warmth, plenty and good company and what better way to do that than through song. Across the centuries people have sung and created songs specially for mid winter – folk carols which were sung by everybody, for everybody. If you want to re-capture that experience of Christmas communal singing for all hurry on down to The Lawrence Batley Theatre on Saturday 13th December between 1 and 4 pm to learn a selection of folk carols and original winter songs.

At the end of the workshop we'll head down to LBT's foyer to sing to people coming out of the Xmas shows - a chance for informal performing and spreading Xmas cheer.

No previous experience is required as all songs are taught by ear
