Inspired by the human form and nature’s effects of corrosion on architecture, I create large scale clay structures which become blank surfaces for drawing, using colouring and texturing techniques developed through experiment with unorthodox and untraditional substances, outside of the traditional glazes and oxides associated with ceramics. Suitable for both internal and external settings, the pieces are constructed from slip cast units that lock together to build the column.
