Pitch your book to publishers!
Whether you’ve just started writing or have already completed a novel or work of non-fiction, this is your chance to pitch your book directly to a panel of independent northern publishers: Hannah Bannister from Peepal Tree Press, Phil Caplan from Scratching Shed Publishing and Sara Hunt from Saraband.
They will be here to listen to your pitches and provide guidance on how you might develop your ideas.
Peepal Tree Press is an independent publisher founded in 1985 to bring the very best of international writing from the Caribbean, its diasporas and the UK. Based in Leeds, their list features new writers alongside established voices, with the goal of publishing books that make a difference.
Saraband is an award-winning independent publisher of outstanding fiction, absorbing nature writing, pressing environmental issues and compelling memoir. Based in Salford, their aim is to publish books that inspire, inform and entertain – and that make the world a better place.
Scratching Shed Publishing is a Leeds-based independent publishing company founded in May 2008. The company’s primary aim is to produce high-quality books inspired by aspects of northern English culture, from sport and music to biographies, fiction and children’s books.
