Simon Halsey is, without doubt, one of the world’s most eminent and important choral conductors. He is chorus director of the London Symphony Orchestra and City Of Birmingham Symphony Chorus and has shaped the orchestral choral world for decades. He has prepared choirs for many of the great conductors and orchestras including the Vienna Philharmonic and Berlin Philharmonic. He is a committed teacher and guest teaches at many of the worlds leading educational institutions.

In this very special masterclass, Simon will delve into one of his most loved works, Brahms’ ‘Ein Deutsches Requiem’. Simon will provide unique insights into this work, looking at some of the most tricky corners as well as exploring the nuances of the German language and how best to get the most from singing this piece. His understanding and knowledge of the orchestral choral repertoire are second to none and this masterclass with such a leading expert promises to engage and enlighten.
