NEW! Children's 6 Week Pottery Course

We are so happy to announce the launch of this new pottery course, designed for children.
Here at Artshed we teach over 60 adults a week pottery design skills, so we thought let’s provide our extensive clay knowledge and design inspiration to a younger age group (from 10yrs) We know children are able to follow step by step instructions to learn and create some really well structured pieces out of raw clay, using different tools.
They will learn how to adapt their skills to develop their own style over the weeks.

6 weeks is just enough time to learn the basics of coiling, pinch pots and slab work, using slips and glazes to decorate a bird feeder, an egg cup or small pot and a wall hanging.
Focusing on nature as our inspiration your child will explore pattern and mark making, imprinting and sculpting to create a number of items that can be brought home once they have been glazed and fired.
