Holmfirth Film Festival 2022
All systems go again!
Sunday evening films from Holmfirth Film Festival at Holmfirth Civic Hall begin again next week, 27 February 7pm, when we screen the brilliant The Invisible Life of Euridice Gusmao. An Oscar nominated and Cannes award winner in which, kept apart by a terrible lie and a conservative society, two sisters born in Rio de Janeiro make their way through life each believing the other is living out her dreams half a world away. Beautifully filmed. . . beautifully acted. . . definitely one for the big screen.
Next up, week commencing 7 March, Christchurch, New Mill will host two films initially originally scheduled for 2021, cancelled due to covid. Thursday 10 March - Fatima, Friday 11 March - Corpus Christi.
From Monday 14 March to Sunday 20 March our first festival of 2022 brings a full week of film and events. Details of all screenings and festival brochure can be found on our website (holmfirthfilmfestival.co.uk). Tickets now on sale online via the website and in person from Oxfam Bookshop, Holmfirth.
Join us for a season of film magic. . .
