Holmfirth Film Festival's Jubilee weekend begins Friday evening 3 June with the screening of part one of Marcel Pagnol's two volume novel L'eau des Collines (The Water of the Hills).

Beautifully filmed classic. Set in rural Provence, Jean de Florette sees two local farmers plot to rob a newcomer's family of his recently inherited property, with tragic consequences.
