HVA SUMMER EXHIBITION 2013
Hertfordshire’s Own Summer Exhibition
Most people have heard of the Summer Exhibition that takes place at the Royal Academy in London each year from early June to mid-August. This year Herts Visual Arts (HVA) is hosting Hertfordshire's own local version in Harpenden.
If last year’s exhibition is anything to go by we are certainly in for a treat. HVA now have a proven track record for arts events. They regularly provide a feast for the eyes with quality works in a range of prices. This year the HVA Summer Exhibition is at Harpenden Public Halls, 27 to 28 July. A wide variety of visual arts including painting, drawing, glass, textile, sculpture and more will feature. Though reasonably priced, the event represents a highly talented mix of artists – professional and amateur. The £1 entry free will go towards the Samaritans.
Mel Hilbrown, HVA Chairman, says, “This is the second year we are exhibiting at Harpenden Public Halls. It’s a great venue for what promises to be an inspiring exhibition. In the adjacent room the Beds Bucks and Herts Print Society are exhibiting hand pulled prints. The venue is right by the Farmer’s Market that Sunday. So visitors can really make a day of it!”
