Big Art Fair Showcases Local Art at Its Best

Whether you’re an aspiring artist or simply love art, the Big Art Fair in Hitchin has something for you!
Run by Herts Visual Arts Forum, the Big Art Fair is a key part of Hitchin’s annual festival. The event brings together 60 artists working with different media offering their own unique styles. It’s an inspiring showcase of artistic talent.

As well as enjoying the incredible display of art, visitors can also meet the artists and makers. This is a rare opportunity to discuss their styles, techniques and inspiration, capturing the true essence of their work. If you fall in love with a piece and act quickly enough, you can treat yourself or maybe find an ideal present for someone else.

Each year, visitors can vote for their favourite artists. Who will be your winner for 2024? The results will be announced on Sunday 21 July. Competition is tough!

This year’s event is on 19 – 21 July in Hitchin’s Town Hall in Brand Street. It’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy local art at its best. Enjoy a rich mix of talent including artwork, ceramics, textiles and much, much more. There truly is something for everyone at the Big Art Fair. Be the first to visit the exhibition and enjoy a glass of bubbly! No need to book – just turn up at the door and buy your ticket for the preview evening on Friday 19 July – it’s only £3.
