Hertford Choral Society Open Singing Day

HCS is delighted to be offering another open singing day for anyone enjoying a great sing and a day shared with others. The day is intended for singers who are either rusty (school singing may have been some while ago!) or experienced, and absolutely everyone in between. The main requirement is the joy of singing.
The day will introduce you to HCS and its MD, Manvinder Rattan, and a few varied short choral pieces. Music will include favourites such as:
Zadok the Priest (Handel)
Ave Verum Corpus (Mozart)
Medley from Les Miserables (Schönberg)
God be in my head (Rutter)
Frohlocket ihr Völker auf Erden (Mendelssohn)
Dashing away with the smoothing iron
We’ll spend time rehearsing each and then enjoy a run-through during the afternoon, followed by tea and cake. Friends and family are welcome to join us for the run through.
HCS will supply all the music, tea, coffee and cake and there is car parking at the school. Singers, who must be aged 18 or over at the time of the workshop, need only bring themselves and their packed lunch.
Prior booking is essential so that we can anticipate music requirements.
We look forward to giving you a warm welcome.
