Ditchling Contemporary Craft Show
Our first Contemporary Craft Show of 2012 will take place in the pretty, Downland village of Ditchling, West Sussex on 14th and 15th April. The Sussex Guild is proud to follow Ditchling's artistic tradition, well known for its past association with local artists of distinction. This show is in two venues: the Village Hall and the beautiful and historic St. Margaret's Parish Church from 10.00am – 5.00pm. The admission ticket of £1.50 affords entry and re-entry to each venue throughout the day with accompanied children free. In a friendly, relaxed atmosphere visitors can purchase unique and beautiful work from the region's finest craftspeople. Among the exhibitors will be potter John Evans, www.jevceramics.co.uk who will be showing his unique, smoke-fired ceramics and textile artist Natali – Bal des Fleurs, www.baldesfleurs.com who will be displaying hand felted bags, jewellery and accessories. Located between the hall and the church are Sussex Guild members: Pruden and Smith www.prudenandsmith.com with their contemporary jewellery shop. Nearby is Dolly’s Pantry, which, along with The Bull public house, provides excellent fare for visitors. The local museum is behind the church. Free parking is available at the Village Hall. Ditchling is not far from Brighton and adjacent to the Sussex Downs so combining it with a Sussex Guild show it is just the place for a good day out.
