New, Found Treasures

The exhibition marks the centenary and the opening of the Dockyard Museum in 1911 which became the Royal Naval Museum and is now the National Museum of the Royal Navy.

In celebration of 100 years of collecting, professional artists and master craftsmen have been commissioned to create new treasures inspired by the collections and unique access to the archives. Through their work they will explore personal stories and events, expressing the themes of discovery and reflection, journeys, the sea and the navy.
I very fortunate to have been selected for one of the commissions.

From fine art ceramics to ethereal stitched sculptures, mixed media Art Books, photography and textile pieces New, Found Treasures will showcase the collections as an ongoing, ever-changing source of inspiration.
