"It is difficult to write about, to put into words, drawing and painting. It is what I do; I draw and paint and, as an adult education art tutor, I teach drawing and painting.
I work from sketchbook studies and drawings. The paintings are reworked and layered, seeking to create a visual equivalent rather than a representation."
