Studio-Gallery: Rob and Siân Dudley are Artists in Residence

Watercolour artists Rob and Siân Dudley take over the empty art gallery at Harbour House and turn it into a working art studio. Each will work on a specific project, showing its development from concept towards conclusion. At the end of the residency they hope to have a finished work, but make no promises that their project will reach that stage – it is the process that they are keen to show. In line with their work as art tutors, they are keen to encourage others to explore their own creativity, and members of the public are very welcome to pop in during the week to see how work is progressing and ask questions about methods and techniques.

Rob is hoping to take advantage of the large open space of the art gallery, and will be working on a large image based on the skies and seas of the South Hams coastline. Siân will be exploring one of her favourite themes, the wonderful Devon hedgerow, and hoping to show that it can be as exciting to paint in the middle of winter as it is in May.
