Primary Colours 2016
The Harbour House gallery year traditionally starts with Primary Colours, and this colourful exhibition of Primary Schools' art work remains a firm favourite for local artists as well as local families.
Thirteen primary schools are invited to lend us drawings, paintings, collage, printmaking and sculpture for this exhibition which offers inspiration to artists of all ages and brightens up the gloomy days of winter.
Picasso recognised the freshness and vitality of children's art work when he said:
'Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up',
and amongst the community of local artists in the South Hams, many insist that Primary Colours is the highlight of the gallery year.
