Peregrination - Paintings by Jolanta Bogdan
“We go through life meeting new people, seeing new places, experiencing a variety of feelings, and collecting snapshots of life which stay longer in the memory.
The world is rich with a diversity of objects, events and, most of all, differences in selfhood. We perceive the reality through the prism of our personality.
The exhibition presents works in which snapshots of my journey are frozen in time. Each of the paintings is a scrap of my peregrination through the world during the last three years. It is a collection of moments that impressed me and I caught them on canvas with pleasure.”
Jolanta Bogdan gained a Master of Arts degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and is now based in Plymouth. She particularly enjoys still life painting, but her new surroundings have ignited an interest in nature and landscape.
She has exhibited at Buckfast Abbey, Delamore Arts, and in open art exhibitions at Harbour House. Her work has also appeared on the front cover of Paint Magazine.
Open Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm
