Bob Hill at the TRAIL festival in Teignbridge

Bob Hill at the TRAIL festival in Teignbridge

Bob Hill will be working with other artists throughout the summer at the TRAIL (Trail Recycled Art In Landscape) festival in Teignmouth.

Based at the TAAG gallery - Northumberland Avenue between 4 August and 7 September, Bob will collaborate with the general public on the following:

Trailing Poetry

Bob Hill will organise the longest Renga sequence of collaborative poetry ever produced at a recycling arts festival in Teignbridge (probably).

What is Renga?
Renga – a series of short verses linked into one poem, composed collaboratively by a group – typically generates a scattered mosaic of images, ideally suited to a festival and the poetic contributions of festival-goers. (And, following the festival, the collaborative poetry will be published on the Creative Torbay website (www.creativetorbay.com/harbertonbob.)

telling tales: the persistence of memory (or what happens when Blue Peter meets Dada…)

Bob is seeking the stories, poems, illustrations, photographs, fragments, artefacts, et cetera for this 'telling tales' event. All contributions will be collected, stored and - without being read - buried in Teignmouth at the close of the festival.

Anyone can contribute to the TRAIL project on the strict understanding that the texts, etc have not previously been circulated and the contributors are content for the work not to be seen by others.

Bob Hill will be based at the TAAG gallery, Teignmouth in August and is happy to discuss the above event with anyone who's keen to contribute – or merely curious…
