Arts Generator for Hannahs at Seale-Hayne (PT)
The Dame Hannah Rogers Trust or Hannahs as we are known, has been supporting young people and adults with disabilities for more than 230 years. Hannahs at Seale Hayne was opened in 2010 to provide appropriate facilities for people of all abilities where they can train, learn, have fun and fulfil their true potential. With an outdoor pursuits centre, recording studios, sensory music room, farm, gallery, bistro, workshops and vocational courses and learning placements, it is a place of true integration and imagination.
Here at Hannahs at Seale Hayne, our cultural programme overall is continuing to grow, with recent exhibitions from the Southbank Centre, and the V&A. This post will be a key memeber of our arts team and will work closely with colleagues from across Hannahs to deliver a centre of excellence.
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic practitioner to lead daily sessions in our art spaces, and co-ordinate and develop an exciting programme of workshops with additional artists, including our resident artists.
In line with the vision and ethos of Hannahs, you will ensure there are a range of opportunities , experiences and enterprise for all our guests with diverse abilities , as well as delivering workshops as part of the Seale Hayne visitor destination. We would also like to explore the option of providing some public sessions, and potentially a social enterprise section within the art room and hope the right person will be able to help us take this forward.
