Getting started at HALS Nov 2021 (online event)
A guide to researching our archive and local studies resources.
As this talk will be hosted using MS Teams, participants will need access to a computer, tablet or phone with audio. Instructions for joining the talk will be sent in advance via email, so please ensure that you provide a current email address when you book. Registration opens 15 minutes before the start of the event.
Although we re-opened to the public in August, things are a little different. No appointment is neccessary for the Local Studies Library, but visits to the Archive Reading room are currently by appointment only. We recommend that you order documents in advance (but its not essential), so this session will show you:
What to expect when you come for your Archive Reading Room appointment
How to search our collections online (library catalogue, the Hertfordshire Names Online index and the archive catalogue)
How to book your appointment
NB: This session will be partly pre-recorded, but there will be a live Q&A afterwards
This event runs monthly and is free. Donations are welcome.
