A Drop of Ink: November workshop
Join us for this fascinating workshop. Iron gall ink has been used since the 5th century. It is one of the most important inks in Western culture and we owe much of our recorded history to this ink.
Our conservator will present a brief history and show you how it can be identified in old documents. Make your own traditional sample using iron sulphate, crushed oak galls and gum arabic. Cost £10, includes all materials.
