Widdershins 2016

Dartmoor, a landscape steeped in magic and mystery, is home to a internationally celebrated group of artists whose work is inspired by mythic themes. Green Hill Arts showcased these artists in the first Widdershins exhibition in 2013 -- which proved to be such a huge success that we're doing it again, with all of the original artists plus several exciting additions. The art in this show explores local legends, world myth, folklore and faery tales in diverse, surprising ways -- ranging from earthy to ethereal, from sensual to spiritual, from frightening to whimsical....shaped into paintings, sculptures, assemblages, magical clocks, hand bound books, and more.
Alongside the exhibition, we'll be running a programme of related events for adults and children: artist's talks, workshops, a film showing, etc. (Please see the Calendar section of the Green Hill website for more information, at greenhillarts.co.uk.)
