GNUF Shortlisted for an Epic Award from Voluntary Arts
Stop Press! We are one of 32 projects in England that have been shortlisted for an Epic Award from Voluntary Arts. It means a lot to us because it's a result the work we've been doing to reach wider & more diverse audiences. We are a volunteer-run festival with dozens of people ranging in age from high school students to retired people helping out. We have all been spending a lot of time behind the scenes to make space for people of all ages, identities and cultures (and there's still loads of work to do). In the process, we've learned a lot about ourselves and about how much more we can do. Being shortlisted for this prize is a properly inspiring thing.
We are also in running for their people's choice award and folks can vote on those. All of the projects are excellent and it's well worth a look.
