GDPA – Global Diversity Positive Action

The aim
To help young people not in education, employment or
training to find ways to overcome barriers and fears and
understand what opportunities are available to them.
We also work with ex-offenders, single parents and
people not in work.

Our approach
We want to find people’s spark. We aim to help people
develop a positive outlook and mindset, to help them
find the tools they need to make changes and choices.

We offer:
• IT skills and recognised Adobe and Microsoft qualifications through our Imagine Academy
• Foundation skills via short-term courses in the community
• Future leaders project to schools
• Outreach projects to Inclusion Units
• Music and video production skills

Outreach
We organise a range of workshops including music
production, photography, graffiti, literacy, numeracy and
positive thinking. Young people are given the opportunity to start at the Microsoft Imagine Academy where professional Microsoft Office & Adobe qualifications are offered.

Raising revenue
We sell courses direct to businesses. ACA Adobe Courses. All revenues go towards our community focussed activities.

Our brand new café will also help to make us sustainable. A welcoming community café that will help people discover who we are and what we do. We also offer meeting rooms for hire at 9 Ramsden Street.
