Performers wanted to be Grass Men!
Artist Ashley Peevor is looking for two local people to wear his Grass Men costumes for a walkabout performance in June 2019 as part of (Extra)ordinary - an exciting cultural programme for Torbay. This will be a fantastic opportunity to don a unique costume, grown by hand and in the local area, that is alive with flora and grass! Part-sculpture, part spectacle, this is an unusual and rare chance to be involved in living art. Our performers will need to be strong, with a fair amount of stamina, and are warned that this may not be suitable for people uncomfortable with: enclosed and dark spaces, interaction with the public, heat.
Full dates and hours of commitment:
Thursday 6th June (8 hours) Rehearsal/Costume Fitting
Friday 7th June (8 hours) Torquay (Fleet Walk); Paignton (Eastern Esplanade)
Saturday 8th June (8 hours) Paignton (Winner Street); Brixham (Shoalstone Pool)
Sunday 9th June (4 hours) Brixham (Berry Head).
