Exeter Phoenix Artist Moving Image Commission 2016

Exeter Phoenix wish to commission a new moving image based contemporary artwork for screen, installation or web-based display.

We are looking for original and engaging ideas that could be experimental, conceptual, narrative or abstract. It could be a development of an existing moving image practice or a new direction for you as an artist, stepping out of your usual discipline. The work could originate in any format including video, digital animation, or film but will probably result in a digital presentation format.

Who can apply: The Artist Moving Image Commission is open to individuals (or groups) who reside in the South West region, as defined by Arts Council South West. We will accept applications from practicing contemporary artists including from current students, graduates and self-taught artists and will expect to see a reasonable prior level of engagement with and knowledge of contemporary art.

Level of funding: Exeter Phoenix will fund one commission at £1000.
