Marketing Internship (voluntary position)
12 weeks, full-time, from Wednesday 12 June 2013
We would like to hear from anyone who aspires to work in the arts and would like to gain experience in the marketing and press department of a busy multi art-form venue.
Under the guidance of the Marketing & Press Manager, Marketing & Press Assistant and the Design Officer, you will learn how marketing and press campaigns are constructed and implemented. You will sit in on meetings and take an active role in carrying out key elements of campaigns, working across a variety of art-forms including music, performance, art and film. Particular responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with website updates
• Creating content for web and social media
• Press cuttings
• Managing flyer and poster distribution
• Identifying potential sponsors
• Assisting with data analysis
Full training will be given and we will work with you to ensure that your needs are met. At the end of the 12 weeks you will have some demonstrable experience in many areas of marketing and a range of transferable skills.
Hours: 5 days a week (37.5 hours)
Salary: This is a voluntary position. Where possible, tickets can be given to Exeter Phoenix promoted events and the post holder will be entitled to staff discount at the Café Bar.
