Evoke Network Manager
EvoKe is the Local Cultural Education Partnership (LCEP) for Kirklees. It is made up of a diverse range organisations from the local authority, public health, cultural, education and community sectors, who work in partnership to provide opportunities for children and young people to benefit from the amazing creative and cultural offer across Kirklees. EvoKe is based on collaboration, co-production and active listening to our communities and to one another. For more information, please visit: https://evokekirklees.org/
Over the last three years it has become well-established - running a Children’s Arts Biennale, acting as a partner to the 2019 Kirklees Textile Festival, linking with a Schools Arts Network in the provision of CPD and the pursuit of good Artsmark and Arts Award practice, and engaging in preparations for a Kirklees Year of Music in 2023.
The opportunity is to be at the core of our next three years of development. We want to consolidate what has been achieved and keep making solid, sustainable, progress. In 2020 we will be putting particular emphasis on developing arts practice in support of children and young people facing mental health and emotional well-being challenges. A cross sector group to develop this strand is already in place. We also intend to increase our use of digital space to develop.
The Network Manager will be a key player, supporting the networks and working groups that make up EvoKe, coordinating an action-research programme to explore best practice in using arts to support of good mental health for children and young people, and providing an administrative hub.
The Network Manager will be based at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield. The salary of £30k will be pro-rated to £24k for a 0.8 role. There is scope for flexible working.
