P/T Digital Design Intern

We are looking for an intern with a strong background in design to embrace digital mediums and produce the iPad version of the magazine using mag+ software. The Digital Design Intern role is for a graduate, to utilise and build on design, digital and html skills, working in an office environment of a new international magazine.

Aimed at an analytical graduate, the task is to build our first iPad app magazine with direction from the Digital Manager and Publishing Director as well as the rest of the team. You will learn how to tell stories interactively and create great user experiences, in a premium magazine environment. In return you will learn magazine procedures and become experienced at transforming copy, images, and media into a sellable iPad product.

The successful applicant will have the following key skills:

Practical knowledge of the Adobe suite, in particular InDesign
Good web skills and knowledge of html
A keen interest in working in the magazine industry
Good working knowledge of design
