Shipwrecked... how do you survive?
Learn what you can eat, how to light a fire, cook wild food, thrive on a remote beach & explore smuggler’s caves [with the experts]

£15 per dad, children free

Saturday 22nd September
1 - 5pm

Transport available from Totnes area - booking essential

What you will do...
- have a pleasant walk to a secluded beach
- forage for food
- cook a wild meal on a camp-fire on the beach
- share a three course meal we have all contributed to
- play pirates and hunt for secret caves
- swim, play & have fun

What you will learn...
- how to light a fire without a match [using a bow-drill, flint-steel, etc]
- how to cook a simple meal using food from the hedges, fields & shoreline
- how to setup, manage & extinguish a fire and leave no trace
- how to boil water without using a pan

The day will be run by three Forest School and bushcraft experts. There will be a trained first aider and the activities are covered by the organiser's public liability insurance. Risk assessments for all activities are carried out and available on request. We supply all equipment & materials for the day except for what's listed below...

What to bring...
- the walk down is about a mile down a lane - it may be muddy
- bring cups, plates, cutlery, mat, snacks & water/ drink
- towel/ swim stuff & change of clothes in case of paddling incidents
- waterproofs/ sun-cream or whatever the weather's doing
