REMEMBER 1914-18
Sunday 9th November, 3pm at Kingskerswell Parish Church

The Divertimento String Quartet, (Mary Eade, Lindsay Braga, Andrew Gillett and Vicky Evans) and Words for Voices (Sarah Scoble, Ruth Bettesworth, Richard Clark & Leon Winston) are combining forces on Remembrance Sunday, November 9th, to create a reflective programme called Remember 1914-18.

This special programme of words and music captures the courage, camaraderie and friendship, brought about by the misery of this Great War, but it also recognises the humour and optimism with which both the men on the front line and those who stayed at home met this tremendous ordeal, and their fortitude and resilience as they strived to make a better world for us - their sons, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The music includes Vaughan Williams The Lark, Schubert Rosamunde, Elgar Salut D'Amour and Nimrod.
